Expertizes

CARF

CARF is the Commission on the Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities. Our consultants are actual CARF surveyors for Behavioral Health, Opioid Treatment Programs, and Child and youth Services. We will work with you to find the best way to integrate your state and local regulations and current practices to conform to CARF standards and integrate a culture of continuous quality improvement.

PREA

PREA is the Prison Rape Elimination Act. The act also created the National Prison Rape Elimination Commission and charged it with drafting standards for eliminating prison rape. Our consultants will review the standards and practices with your correctional facility staff and leadership to maximize safety and effectiveness for all.

PHAB

PHAB is the Public Health Accreditation Board. Our consultants will work with you to achieve excellence in all 12 PHAB domains. We will provide reviews, host meetings to meeting Domain requirements, assist in interpreting and integrating the guidance identified, and keep staff and leadership moving toward growth and quality.

Training and Leadership Development

Our consultants can also provided some standard organizational and leadership training. This includes training such as: How to build SMART goals, QI methodologies and how to implement them, project planning and Gantt charting, and more.

Experiences

NACCHO Research and Evaluation Advisory Workgroup member

2018 – present

NACCHO: National Association of County & City Health Officials. The Research and Evaluation Advisory Workgroup helps NACCHO to determine which research studies and program evaluations proposed by NACCHO or external researchers are of most benefit to local health departments. The workgroup also advises researchers and evaluators on strategies and products for translating research evidence and program evaluation results for public health practice.

NNPHI Poster Presenter

2019

National Network of Public Health Institutes poster demonstrated a single resource for Strategic Planning, Quality Improvement, and CHIP performance management. The process included collaboration with the performance management system company, development of new product, providing training to staff, presenting data to community partners, and developing internal operating procedures for the use of the performance management system for continuation of operations and change management purposes.

2019

American Association for the Treatment of Opioid Dependence poster demonstrated opportunities unique to Public Health and MAT in enhancing cross-sector collaboration to combat two public health threats: the opioid crisis and Hepatitis C. Utilizing the transition into Public Health 3.0, the importance of cross-sector collaboration, including the importance for addressing social determinants of health and how it works with the bio-psycho-social model of MAT, the poster described the multiple opportunities that exist for both public health workers and MAT counselors to improve the continuum of care for those seeking Hepatitis C treatment and discuss harm and transmission reduction to those who are not seeking treatment at the time.
